Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Dawnlet when you use the app. Plain language, because there's nothing here worth hiding in a paragraph of capitals.
This document was written for the app as it stands and hasn't been through legal review. If you're relying on it for anything consequential, treat it as a statement of intent rather than settled contract language.
1Who this is between
Dawnlet ("the app") is developed and operated by Aly Badawy ("we", "us"). By downloading, signing into, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app.
These terms sit alongside Apple's own terms for the App Store, which govern the download and any purchase you make. Where Apple's terms conflict with these, Apple's govern the transaction.
2Your account
Dawnlet requires an account, created through Sign in with Apple. You're responsible for keeping access to the Apple ID that account is tied to — it is the only way in (see the privacy policy for what's stored).
One consequence worth stating plainly: if you permanently lose access to that Apple ID, we cannot recover your Dawnlet data for you. There's no password to reset, and while Apple provides an email address at sign-in, it may be a private relay address and it isn't used to verify who you are — so there is no email-based account recovery.
You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live. Dawnlet is not directed at children.
3Your content
Everything you put into Dawnlet — todos, habits, events, notes, financial entries, the names you tag on things — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it and we don't use it to train anything, sell anything, or build a profile of you.
We store and transmit it only to the extent needed to run the app: to sync it to your account so it's there on your next launch or your next device. You grant us permission to do that, and nothing beyond it.
You're responsible for what you put in. Don't use Dawnlet to store content that's illegal where you are, or that infringes someone else's rights.
4Dawnlet Plus

| Plans and prices | Dawnlet Plus is an auto-renewable subscription, offered monthly at $3.99 or yearly at $34.99 (about 27% less than paying monthly). Both plans are in the same App Store subscription group, so you can switch between them but only hold one at a time. |
| Free trial | A 14-day free trial is available once per subscription group — taking it on one plan uses it up for the other. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. |
| Auto-renewal and cancellation | Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. Subscriptions are managed, and auto-renew turned off, in your Apple ID account settings. |
| Handled by Apple | The transaction is processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, and we hold no record of your subscription on our side. |
| Restoring | Your entitlement is tied to your Apple ID. "Restore Purchase" in the app re-checks it with Apple on a new device or after a reinstall. |

What Plus unlocks is listed on the pricing section. We may add features to Plus over time. We won't take an existing Plus feature away and re-sell it separately; if the free tier's limits change, an active subscription keeps what it had.
5Acceptable use
Don't do these things:
- Attempt to access another person's account or data
- Probe, scrape, or overload the service beyond ordinary personal use of the app
- Reverse-engineer the app to circumvent the Plus entitlement
- Use the app to break the law
We may suspend or terminate an account that does. Where it's practical and appropriate, we'll say why first.
6Availability, and what isn't promised
Dawnlet is offered as-is. We aim to keep it running and keep your data intact, but we don't promise uninterrupted availability, and we don't warrant that the app is free of defects.
Dawnlet is a day organizer, not a system of record. It is not a backup service, and it is not accounting software. Don't let it be the only place something important exists — particularly financial records you may need later.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including lost data or missed commitments. Nothing here limits liability that can't lawfully be limited, and if you're a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
7Ending it
You can stop using Dawnlet at any time, and delete your account and everything in it from inside the app. That deletion is immediate and irreversible.
If we ever discontinue the service, we'll give reasonable notice and a way to export your data before it goes.
8Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. The updated version is posted here with a new "last updated" date. If a change materially reduces your rights, we'll flag it in the app rather than relying on you to re-read this page.
9Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local law.
