Privacy Policy
Dawnlet is a personal day organizer built by one person. This is what it collects, what it deliberately doesn't, and how to get rid of all of it.
Dawnlet stores an internal account ID, the email Apple gives it at sign-in, your name if you chose to share it, and the content you type in. It has no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no third-party SDKs of any kind, none of it is used for marketing, and you can delete the whole account from inside the app.
What Dawnlet collects
When you sign in with Apple, Dawnlet stores an internal account ID, and the email address Apple provides. If you chose "Hide My Email", that's Apple's private relay address rather than your real one — Dawnlet has no way to see past it.
If you let Apple share your name when you first sign in, Dawnlet stores it so it can greet you and so it survives reinstalling the app. Apple only offers it once, on your very first sign-in. It's used for nothing else — no email, no marketing, no analytics.
Todos, habits, events, journal entries, meals, gratitudes, places, books, movies, tracked time, people, and financial data you enter are stored on Dawnlet's server, tied to your account, so they sync across sessions.
Dawnlet lets you pick a name from your Apple Contacts to tag on things like a movie's "Watched with" list. That name is stored as part of the item you tag it on, the same as any other content you enter, so it's included in the data linked to your account. Dawnlet doesn't otherwise read your Contacts or store your address book.
What Dawnlet doesn't collect
If you enable this integration, Dawnlet reads your Apple Calendar events and Reminders directly on your device and shows them alongside your todos and habits. Reading is free; writing outwards — adding a Dawnlet event or todo as a real Calendar event or Reminder — is a Dawnlet Plus feature and only happens if you turn it on. None of this is ever sent to or stored on Dawnlet's server.
Dawnlet Plus is an auto-renewable subscription handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, and the app checks whether it's active with Apple on your device. Dawnlet's server has no knowledge of your purchase or payment details, and no record anywhere in Dawnlet's data says whether you pay.
Dawnlet doesn't access location data, advertising identifiers, or device fingerprinting.
No third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. Nothing about your usage is shared with third parties.
Notifications
Every notification Dawnlet sends is computed on your device from data already on it. There is no push server and no remote notification payload, which means nothing about what you're being reminded of is transmitted anywhere in order to deliver it.
Dawnlet keeps a log of the notifications it scheduled and delivered so the in-app feed can show them. That log syncs to your account like any other content. When the Face ID lock on the money module is turned on, amounts are removed from the notification text before it is stored or synced — not merely hidden when it's displayed.
Your data
Delete individual items at any time from within the app, or permanently delete your entire account and everything in it from Settings. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible — it removes the underlying account record, not just its contents.
Children's privacy
Dawnlet is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
